Blog Review ~ Make Me Beg by Rebecca Brooks

Make Me Beg
(Men of Gold Mountain Book 2)
Rebecca Brooks

Bartender Mackenzie Ellinsworth has always gone it alone. So when she has a chance to open her own bar and restaurant, she's got a plan for how it should go. Not in that plan: a ripped and rugged playboy stepping in to take over. Mack doesn't do players, and she doesn't do one-night stands. If Connor wants to work with Mack, he's going to have to keep his strong, sexy hands to himself.
Connor Branding is determined to prove he's not the directionless playboy Mack thinks. But opening a place together causes more problems than it solves. The two of them can't agree on anything—except how scorching hot their chemistry is. Connor may be ready to indulge every desire Mack's been denying herself…but turning business into pleasure is likely to get him burned.
Each book in the Men of Gold Mountain series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.

Series Order:
Book #1 Make Me Stay
Book #2 Make Me Beg

Make Me Beg by Rebecca Brooks is the second book in the Men of Gold Mountain Series. This story is about MacKenzie (Mack) and Connor. Connor is a drifter. He can't seem to find a place he really wants to stay in for a long time and Mack is living in the past and can't seem to let go of her past life. When Connor and Mack are placed into business together, they can't seem to agree on anything. Only thing they can agree on is how hot the sheets turn when they are in them together. The banter between the two is hilarious and the sex is hot. But what happens when true feelings are brought forward and the love/hate relationship is at a standstill?

Blog Review ~ His to Seduce by Stacey Lynn

His to Seduce
Stacey Lynn

An honorable man who’s lost his way . . . A career woman who hides behind her button-up suits . . . Unexpected romance is the specialty at the Fireside Grill as Stacey Lynn’s captivating series comes full circle.

Becoming an ER doctor had been David McGregor’s mission ever since he could remember. But after tragedy strikes at his hospital in Chicago, David runs away from the guilt—all the way back to Latham Hills, Michigan, where he takes a job tending bar at his childhood friend’s restaurant. That’s how he meets Camden Reed, and the way Camden refuses to give him the time of day should be a turnoff. Instead, he’s drawn to her tough, tightly wound exterior, and soon David realizes that he has a new mission: to see her tightly wound beneath him.

Camden’s fighting tooth and nail to resist the desire she feels for David. Growing up dirt-poor, raised by a single mother, she worked twice as hard to get where she is today, and she doesn’t have any patience for the kind of guy who’d give up a decent paycheck to sling drinks. But when the sexual tension finally combusts between the sheets, Camden discovers that people aren’t always what they seem. As David pushes her past her limits, Camden begins to loosen up—and to trust that, when she falls, there will be someone waiting to catch her.

His to Seduce is the 4th book in the Fireside Series. This one is about David and Camden. Those friends of friends that have such a powerful connection when around one another. This book starts out with David and Camden in Jamaica at their friends wedding. After a hot weekend together, Camden and David's secrets come out and cause problems. But David doesn't let Camden run from him. He is determined to make Camden his.
I loved David's tenacity and even when I wanted to slap Camden at times, I understood where she was coming from. I am so happy that these 2 were able to get their HEA.

The Perfect Catch
Alix Nichols

Love, steam, laughs, and a big castle in Burgundy.

This year is about righting an old wrong.

It's also about proving my worth to Coach and helping my team win gold at the French Water Polo Championship.

With an unruly mutt for company and a part-time gig to pay rent, I'm one hundred percent focused on my objectives.

That is, until I catch an intruder poking around my kitchen.

Sophie Bander turns my world upside down.

My new landlord's daughter isn't just the hottest woman alive--she's the stuff of dreams, the object of my deepest, wildest fantasies. But no matter. Nothing--not even Sophie--can make me abandon my goals.

Except... I want her to distraction.

And that's the understatement of the century.

This year is about proving to Dad I can be a first-class realtor and a worthy associate.

That's why I'm in Paris, learning the ropes at a large agency. When I'm done, I'll go back to Key West, join the family business, and then marry the man of Dad's dreams.

I don't need to be attracted to the guy--I'm incapable of sexual attraction, anyway.

That is, until a hunk of a tenant mistakes me for a thief and presses me against the wall in his kitchen.

Noah Masson turns my life into a mess.

He makes me blush and laugh, and fantasize about him all the damn time. He awakens my body. And yet, not even dreamboat Noah can get me sidetracked from my goals.

Or can he?

THE PERFECT CATCH is a full-length standalone contemporary sports romance. Guaranteed HEA, no cliffhanger, intended for adult audiences.

Blog Review ~ Bossed by Sloane Howell

Sloane Howell

He’s the boss. But she’s ready to take charge.

“Wonderfully witty and fresh, Bossed is a must-read for anyone who loves a sassy, modern heroine and an in-charge alpha hero.”—New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne

Jenny: Job interviews are a bitch under the best of circumstances, but when your potential boss is the world’s biggest prick, that’s when you should simply walk away. It’s just that I need this job so badly—and I’m mesmerized by Ethan Mason’s piercing gaze. Men like him aren’t supposed to exist in real life. But under the tailored suits and GQ looks, Ethan simmers with barely restrained ambition. And no matter how hard I work to fight the attraction, I’m going to get burned.

Ethan: You don’t become a top agent without learning how to close a deal. I always get what—or who—I want, by staying cool and in command. Then Jenny Jackson walks into my office with her lush curves and “screw you” attitude and blows away my intentions of keeping things professional. All I can think about is exploring the perfect body hidden beneath those conservative clothes or shutting her saucy mouth with one hot kiss. Jenny’s worth breaking the rules over—if I can convince her to break the rules for me.

Bossed is sexy. And by that, we mean sexy. Like 18+ sexy. This ebook includes an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

Ethan and Jenny meet under odd circumstances. With their witty banter and insults tossed at one another, you would think they were enemies instead of strangers. Jenny is on her way to an interview and little does she know the man she just had words with is the same man that could possibly be her new boss.
With friends helping them navigate their feelings, the relationship between Ethan and Jenny is hot and fun to read about.
This was a hilariously fun book to read. 4.5 stars

Blog Review ~ Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn

Meghan Quinn

What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They're both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.

I wanted to be friends — I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd — but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.

I’d make my coworker fall for me.

I’d like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.

Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie’s trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. But I’ve never been good at giving up, and I don’t plan to start now.

The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

4 Stars
I was super excited when I started reading this knowing that it takes place so close to my hometown. It makes imagining things so much easier knowing where I'm at.
I had a love hate relationship with Sadie, I wanted to love her because she's lost and deserves so much more than she allows herself to have.
Andrew, I couldn't help but hand over my heart to. He's full life and the perfect person to push Sadie.
I laughed so much that I think I started getting abs from the workout my stomach was getting. I had my moments of tears, without it being funny, but I mostly had humor tears.
This book overall for me was well rounded. Definitely a book of a college girl needing to find herself and to heal, and finding love along the way without expecting it. I would definitely recommend this read.

Blog Review ~ Delayed Call by Toni Aleo

Delayed Call (Assassins Book 11)
Toni Aleo

Vaughn Johansson is the Nashville Assassins' star player. He's brash, cocky, and talented. And he isn't afraid to let anyone know it. He lives his life on his own terms, never forming romantic attachments, and only allowing his very closest to see his true, caring self.

Brie Soledad has the weight of the world on her shoulders. As the staff reporter for the Assassins, she balances her high-profile job and its heavy travel schedule with being the sole provider for her adult brother with Down syndrome. Sure, she'd like to find love. But who has time for that when there are bills to pay?

Brie has been the match to Vaughn's gasoline since the day she first held out her microphone to him. They strike sparks off each other, keeping their friends, the team, and the Assassins fans in stitches. Brie’s refusal to fawn over Vaughn sets his teeth on edge and his blood boiling. Especially in that body part...

Brie's been let down by love before, but she knows she deserves nothing less than real, forever love. Vaughn's past has left deep, hidden scars, and there are some secrets he cannot bear to reveal. As much as Brie wants him, Vaughn may be too big a risk for her wary heart to take. But he is at his best under pressure. When the delayed call is in effect and he has no choice but to score, Vaughn always delivers.

This has to be my most favorite of the Assassins Series. It is book #11 and even though I have loved each of them before, there was something about this book that pulled at my heartstrings. It left me smiling a whole lot. Brie and Vaughn were so fun together, and boy did they have chemistry. Plus all of the friends involved in the storyline really made it a fun, sexy read for me.

Blog Review ~ Wanted by Dee Palmer

 Dee Palmer

This book is an adult themed second chance romance written as no-cheating funny erotica. It features a sassy strong female protagonist and her exploits with 4 would-be husbands. A sexy mix of romance humor and MMMF scenes- it is a no cliffhanger military romance guaranteed to melt your kindle and your heart. It is smokin' hot literotica - be warned.

I waited ten years for the right guy, then four come along at once.

I wasn’t even looking for my Mr Right. I thought I’d found him and he was just waiting for that perfect moment to pop the question. When the time came it was far from perfect The event left me a humiliated, broken-hearted mess.

Still, a person would have to be batshit crazy to do what I’ve done, or I’m about to do.

Having answered a classified Ad, I’m Orange County bound with all my worldly possessions crammed into five suitcases and an agreement to marry one of four complete strangers - all Navy Seals!

I just don’t know which one of the four men it’s going to be.

No need to panic.

I have a whole month to make my decision. Who would do such a thing? No sane woman that’s for sure, but then with a name like Seraphim, I was never going to normal. is nice to be WANTED

Available through KINDLE UNLIMITED

Wanted by Dee Palmer was the first book I had read by this author and now she has a new follower. This book was so much more than what I expected. Finn is taking a step to find that "Forever Man or Men" when she answers an add to be the woman to 4 Navy Seals. When she meets each of them, she finds they are the truest of friends and family and they each have their own personalities and quirks.
This book has its moments that I was fanning myself and other moments I was cheering each of the men on. It was a good read and I enjoyed it.

Blog Review ~ Stalemate by Lisa Suzanne

Lisa Suzanne

Emme Ford loves her job as a bar promoter. She runs in the same circles as musicians and socialites, getting paid to party with them. She's content with life just the way it is, and she has no interest in marriage, kids, or growing up. But what happens when the party's over?

Axel Jones wants to marry Emme, but she denied his proposal. They both pretend it didn't affect their relationship, but it did. A wedge divides them, and now they're stuck in a stalemate. What do you do when only one person wants more?

Stalemate by Lisa Suzanne was the first book I had read by this author and I will gladly read others. In this story the question "How do you know if you are in love" is asked by Emme frequently. She has a hard time understanding the concept of it and with that it hard time it causes frustration from her ever loving boyfriend Axel who knows he is in love with her and even asked her to marry him. When she denied him, they try to move on, but it is getting harder and harder for Axel to move forward.
With time and help from friends Axel and Emme grow and Emme is able to answer the question she has asked so many times before.

Blog Review ~ Con Man by T. Torrest

T. Torrest

Lucas Taggart is the best con man in the business, so to speak.

A former-geek-turned-hottie, Luke is now an image consultant and life coach to the rich and privileged in New York City. His eight-week program is designed to transform ugly ducklings into swans by instilling some much-needed confidence, and hey, a makeover never hurts.

But when Ainsley Carrington signs up as a client, Luke's world is thrown into a tailspin. Ainsley doesn't need an image consultant; her image is already perfect just the way it is. Luke immediately finds himself grappling with his attraction to the introverted beauty as all his old insecurities come bubbling back to the surface.

Thankfully, his new friend Mia is around to help him see that maybe the only makeover needed is on himself. Soon enough, the coach becomes the player as lines get blurred and professionalism gets thrown out the window.

The thing is, Luke doesn't date his clients. Ever. But fighting his desire is proving more difficult than he ever imagined. Especially since the cocky and arrogant "confidence man" has just completely lost his cool.

Con Man by T. Torrest was a laugh out loud rom-com that had me enjoying the book. First off let me say, don't read the synopsis. It does nothing for the book you are about to read. Luke and Mia are hilarious together and they shared so much witty, sarcastic banter between them. But behind all of that banter was a real love growing between the two. It was fun to see how it started and how it ended.

Blog Review ~ The Bad Boy Next Door by Jody Holford

The Bad Boy Next Door
Jody Holford

Shay Matthews moved to Boston for a fresh apartment, new job, new routine. After too many years being coddled by her overbearing older brothers, Shay’s ready for some freedom and maybe a nice, easygoing guy. She wasn’t expecting to literally run into the scowling, brooding, (and unfairly smoking hot) guy next door.
Fresh off a haunting undercover assignment, detective Wyatt Daniels is jaded about life, relationships, and especially happily-ever-after. But there’s something about the independent and beautiful Shay that makes him want to dig deeper. Or stay away, which is definitely the smarter option of the two.
But the more Shay tries to convince herself that her sweet building manager, Brady, is the guy for her, the more Mr. Completely Wrong-for-Her Wyatt invades her mind and her heart.
Each title in the Kendrick series is a standalone story that can be read out of order.
Book 1 – More than Friends
Book 2- The Bad Boy Next Door

The Bad Boy Next Door was a sweet read. Shay moved to start living her life. She has been sheltered and never had to prove anything to anyone. Wyatt is a brooding detective fresh off a undercover assignment that has left him jaded in the relationship department. When sweet, sassy Shay continues to break down Wyatt's defenses, Wyatt is left figuring out what is going on and how it is happening with someone so the opposite of him. The two have chemistry and they really are cute together. And when Wyatt realizes what is going on he does what he has to do to make good guy Brady aware, Shay is taken.
