Sam is the life of every party at her sorority house, but now she’s just one failed class away from losing her softball scholarship and being forced to drop out of school.
Enter Miles, the massive brute of a linebacker with a secret talent for math. As she learns more about him, Sam is drawn to the reclusive giant and his unexpected sweetness.
Miles is convinced that Sam is just another girl who sees him as a big, dumb jock. But when Sam talks him into helping her for the good of their respective athletic teams, they both have to contend with the consequences of their actions.
What starts out as an innocent friendship soon turns into more. A relationship is the last thing either of them wants. So why does it feel so right?

AUTHOR BIO
Allie Lasky loves writing happy endings… both the PG-13 version and the more risqué variety. Her stories frequently feature athletes and sports adjacent professionals. As someone who referred to all athletic endeavors as "sportsball" only a few short years ago, she has developed into quite the sports fanatic. She is a diehard fan of the Boston Bruins and the University of Michigan. In her limited free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and the gremlins, the world's cutest kids. Allie is a San Diego, California native and is allergic to rain, snow, cold weather, and mosquitos.

If my stalking is correct, this is Allie’s debut novel. If that is the case, she has definitely done herself proud.
What drew me to this book to begin with is that it’s a sports romance - my absolute favorite. But what I wasn’t expecting was how both Miles and Sam were written. I liked that they were both athletes, and I am angry at myself for presuming that Miles would be your typical jock and that Sam would be written like so many other characters that I have read before. Both were wonderful to read individually, but the way they are together was incredible.
There are some great minor characters in this book, especially Miles’ teammates and roommates, and I look forward to reading their stories as well. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
