My questions surrounding Jack’s relationship with his future bride grow more pressing by the day…especially when his eyes tackle me with all that heat. As he saves my job and I continue to coach him toward better decisions, I find myself falling for him. Maybe my purpose here is to open
his eyes to all his options.

We met Jack in Luke and Ellie's story and I was super excited to get to know him better since he was a big jerk in the previous series. Kate is randomly hired to be Jack's behavior coach (aka babysitter) once he is traded to the Aces. What makes this story fun is that they previously hooked up and now it is all levels of awkward. I am enjoying the awkwardness and maybe Jack isn't the big douche he portrays. Only time will tell.



I am so happy that there are more books in the Vegas Aces series but I must admit I wasn’t sure how I felt about the H receiving his own story. If you have read his brother Luke’s stories you would understand why.
But bit by bit he is slowly redeeming himself. There are still so many questions I will need answered and I am sure in time that will come in the subsequent books. This installment finished on a banger of a cliffhanger and I hope the fallout is not too bad for Kate.

TACKLED:

The relationship between Jack and Kate takes a turn towards friendship with a lot of smoldering heat. Jack of course is hot and cold with Kate but the has let her into his inner circle. The problem is that if they get too close, both of them are going to get burned. Jack feels like he is in a corner but he puts himself on the line in order to protect Kate. This story ends on a cliffhanger that has me wanting the next installment right now. Another good series to get lost in.
