Boss/Employee romances are one of my favorite tropes to read. And Claudia’s version is outstanding. Aslan & Keaton work well together and have a mutual respect for one another. Oh, and they both also happen to have a secret crush on each other as well. Reading them navigate from co-workers to something more was so exciting. It certainly wasn’t without ups and downs and both of them didn’t want to reveal their hidden feelings first. But when it does happen it reminds me why I adore reading romance novels so much.

The first in a new series. Now from what I'm gathering this is a spinoff of another of her series' that I have not read...yet. Aslan and Keaton's story is what I've come to adore from this author. Well thought out, complex characters, plenty of anxious moments that just add to the depth of the story. These two have more in common that it appears, both have a deep seeded, similar fear. Will they be able to come to terms and move past things, or will their pasts continue to haunt them? I really liked this story and cannot wait to see who the next one is about. ~Shirley
