Blog Review ~ Core of Steel • J.B. Havens

For this being my first military book I definitely enjoyed it and give it 4 stars. We have an elite military team with a woman in charge; Staff Sergeant Bea Michaels (Mic) is one hard woman; she doesn't take any crap and can hold her own in any situation. Her team has several men that respect her and follow her orders at all times; no questions asked. They have an upcoming mission that has Mic feeling like something isn't right; then once it's time things go wrong. I enjoyed reading a book with the main female character strong willed and confident. 

I will definitely be reading more books by this author. This was well written and moved at a good pace. I loved all the characters and how well they meshed together. I thought for sure that Mic and new recruit Chris Jordan would end up together but the author wrote it so well that it didn't bother me when they mutually decide that the best thing is to stay just teammates. 

If you're looking for a book where it pulls you in and keeps you interested until the very end then this is the book for you.
