"I love, love, flove this world! I really enjoyed Deke and Maddie's story, the history that is a wedge between them, both individually and as a couple, and has been for close to 20 years. That's a lot to try and sort out while trying figure out exactly what is going on at Maddie's work.
I always know that when I pick up one of this authors books, I am going to be submersed into a world that is gripping, diverse, structured but with plenty of layers to get tangled up in too. Action (smexy and otherwise), mystery, suspense, thrills & chills. This story has it all and then some. The characters are more family than coworkers and they are beyond invested in each other. I think that's part of why this series is still going strong, even with the spinoffs. There's depth, not only in character but the world itself."
