I do love me some high fantasy and this story did not disappoint. Adara is wanted by all for the markings on her skin but only one man is worthy of her, or is he. Adara and Evren are like magnets and completely drawn to one another. Both Evren and his half brother Gavril desperately want Adara but for different reasons. Adara and Evren are hot together and the passion sizzles. The ending leaves me with yearning for the next book.

A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows is the first book from this author that I have read, and I am new fan of this series. I loved reading and following Adara, Gavril, and Evren's story. Betrothed to Gavril, Adara is willing to accept her fate, but is drawn to his brother, Evren. I found this to be a magical story and look forward to book two.
