Emilia Ravelli lives a fairy-tale life… or does she?
What appears picture perfect on the outside can crumble on the inside. And holding up appearances is the number one rule for anyone carrying the Ravelli name.
But what if one reckless night changes everything?
Sent to Boston to manage the Ice Tigers’ franchise, can she break free from her overbearing grandfather?
Matt Walker has lost it all… or did he?
Betrayed by those he trusted most, all he wants is to win the Cup.
But what if the new team owner turns his world upside down?
Can Emilia convince him there’s more to this world than stickhandling?
Two lost souls.
A secret that changes their lives forever.
An unexpected love story.

3.5
This was a very slow burn, like embers. I like that it was different than most pregnancy and hockey romances, but there just didn’t seem to be a lot of chemistry between Emilia and Matt until closer to the end of the book. I didn’t feel like there was any growth of their romance.
There was a HEA, and once they were together it seemed to flow more, I just wish that I saw more progress before they officially were together.
I guess this one just wasn’t for me, though I would try another from this author.
Hockey, Italian, Sports, Forbidden, Pregnancy, Fake/Convenient Marriage
