Kendall Ryan has quickly became an automatic one-click author for me. I am in love with her writing and her characters draw you and make you feel the story. Lucas and Addy's story is just the most imperfect fairytale romance. This was a exquisite slow-burn that will have you wishing you had your own real life Lucas. He is a book boyfriend unlike any other. Poor Addy, she has sworn off men after one too many relationship mishaps. Fate has other plans though, dropping Lucas into her life. She will not make it easy for him and Lucas has the patience of a saint. He is going to prove to Addy, he is the difference.
Another brilliant book by Kaylee Ryan. She has an absolute gift in the way she writes her heroes. Lucas is swoon worthy. I liked how he came across a bit cocky. But the more time he spent with Addyson he quickly became smitten. She became his everything and all he wanted was to have her in his life.
Which proved a little hard to begin with. Especially after you read about her past relationships you can see why she has taken herself out of the game, or as she calls it - benched. I really didn’t know whether I should laugh or cry when this happened.
I also liked reading the other little romance going on within the book. I thought it added a lot to the story as well.
I cannot wait to read Kaylee’s next fabulous story. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
