To state that this book is a romance novel would just about border on a lie. It is so much more than that. Yes there is romance and it is definitely of the slow burn variety. But Alexei and Graysen had a whole lot of story to get through before they could become a couple and then something more.
Brenda has outdone herself with this book. It shines a light on addiction that she tells both truthfully and heartbreakingly. Her words had me feeling every emotion but by the end of the story I was elated with not only the man Alexei has become but also with the way Melinda was taking charge of her life and working through her tragedy.
Superbly written and it will definitely be a story that stays with me for quite some time.
