This is the first I've read from this author, and I have to say, I really enjoyed the story. The characters have a depth to them that makes them real. The familial conflict sheds light on the intricacies of the relationships between the brothers.
Being thrown together by circumstance, Hayes and Blaire have a past that was never really put to rest. There's a lot of hurt between them, and Hayes knows he screwed up royally. Will Blaire give him a chance to explain, and open up the possibility of a future for them, or is 12 years of hurt too much to overcome?
I'm interested to see which of the brothers we get to read about next!

I got pulled completely into Blaire and Hayes' story. This story spanned 12 years and held so much history and hurt and so much loss and pain and hope. Hayes was Blaire's first love and they were suppose to have forever, but college and a dysfunctional childhood gets in the way. Blaire marries her best friend, who is also Hayes' baby brother. Twelve years later and the death of Hayes' father and a crazy will has them crossing paths. Can they repair damage done years ago? Will the hurt they caused each other be healed? This book made me laugh and cry and yelling at my kindle a couple of times. I did not want it to end. I anxiously await for this author to bring us some more of the Alridge boys.
