Alice
I didn’t mean for the whole wedding party to see me skinny dipping.

That’s how I met Jonah, my new, way too hot for my sanity neighbor.

Jonah
I came to Alaska to escape. I prefer to leave tragedy behind and don’t need anyone reminding me I’m a hero. I’m not. I’m damaged goods and not in the market for romance.

Alice is beyond distracting, and I can’t avoid her. My grandmother thinks we’re fated for each other. While I’m busy trying to ignore my grandmother’s matchmaking, I make the mistake of kissing Alice. My willpower burns to the ground in a matter of seconds.

Jonah & Alice’s story is perfect for readers who love small town romance, hotshot firefighters, smart & sassy heroines, nosy friends and relatives, slow burn, emotional romance with a dash of angst, oozing with swoon, and one smokin’ hot broody hero.

*A full-length, standalone romance.

"It was so great to step back into the Willow Brook world, the whole small town backdrop is truly exceptional and all the characters from past books and towns people are truly some of the best characters I have ever read.
This book features Jonah & Alice, both have had previous tragedies happen in their lives but I honestly felt what Jonah went through was unfortunately both realistic and horrific at the same time. It is something that holds him back in many ways and it takes him some time to understand he deserves to be happy.
I liked how these two somewhat fell into a relationship and tried to keep it casual. But it wouldn’t be a JH Croix novel without feelings developing which was also helped along by Jonah’s grandmother. She was an absolute hoot, but I was thankful that what was happening in her own storyline didn’t come to its “finale “ because I don’t think I could have handled that!!
And of course I am looking forward to the next book to be released, I just hope that I don’t have to wait too long. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book"
