As a huge fan of the Rixon Raiders series, knowing that LA Cotton was writing a next generation’s series as well I just knew I had to read it. Let me say, I certainly wasn’t disappointed.
Lily & Kaiden are magnificent together. So many obstacles in their way, they both fight to be together. As with most YA romance novels, there is plenty of drama and mean girl moments but honestly it’s what brings me back to these stories time and again. I just love to read the underdog come out on top.
The epilogue to this story is heartbreaking but we find out who the next couple will be and boy will it be an eye opener. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. ~Sharon

This story starts off with curve ball and it doesn't let up. 2 rival schools forced into one, one football team, too many players, all deserving of the starting spot, what's a coach to do?
When the rival QB sets his sights on the one girl that's supposed to be off limits, to say things get dicey is an understatement. This story has all you'd expect from a high school setting. The quiet, good girl, her loyal friends, the mean girls, the history that never seems to fade, the feel good moments and of course the angst filled moments when you just know something bad is going to happen. Add to that the surrounding characters, strong families with some very real issues, and you have a story that is not only well structured, but a solid foundation for the books yet to come. ~Shirley
